The brilliant young Japanese jazz piano virtuoso Hiromi is a protégée of such jazz legends as pianist AHMAD JAMAL.
She has been heralded as one of the brightest new lights on the jazz landscape on both sides of the ocean.

Bombay Jazz made their debut performance at the Jazz Yatra in Mumbai, India in 2003, receiving critical and popular acclaim. A whirlwind tour of Europe (21 performances, 10 countries, 23 days) in the fall of 2004 and US performances in 2005 and 2006 solidified the group’s relentless pursuit of compositional and improvisational excellence. In October 2007, Britain’s Asian Music Circuit presented Bombay Jazz, for a 12-city tour of the UK. In 2008, Bombay Jazz, again toured the US, with sold out shows at New York’s Jazz Standard.

Larry Coryell As one of the pioneers of jazz-rock, Larry Coryell deserves a special place in the history books. Larry has performed with superstars Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, John McLaughlin, Paco De Lucia, Pat Metheny and Al Di Meola. Larry first appeared before Indian audiences in 1982 performing with Shakti. His Indian music collaborations also include Hariprasad Chaurasia, Zakir Hussain and Dr. L. Subramanium.

SaxophoneGeorge Brooks Hailed as the “leading American voice in Indian jazz fusion”, saxophonist and composer, Brooks has performed with such notable musicians as John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Etta James, the Brooklyn Philharmonic, the Kronos Quartet, and Anthony Braxton. His original compositions combine the rich harmonies of modern jazz with the driving rhythms of North India, forming a unique and wholly satisfying musical experience.


ronuRonu MajumdarIn the hands of world-renowned flutist, Ronu Majumdar, the bansuri, a simple bamboo flute, becomes an instrument of tremendous power, virtuosity and versatility. A Grammy nominee, Ronu has performed with international superstars, Pandit Ravi Shankar, Beatle George Harrison and guitarist Ry Cooder. He is the co-composer (with Sam Carrdon) of the score for the award winning Imax film, Mystic India.

TablaAditya KalyanpurAditya Kalyanpur began his studies at age five under the vigilance of Tabla Maestros Ustad Allarakha and Zakir Hussain, Aditya is considered one of the most promising torchbearers of the Punjab Gharana and has had the honor of accompanying India’s most outstanding concert artisits including Pandit Shivkumar Sharma, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Ustad Sultan Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Pandit VishwaMohan Bhat, Ustad Shujaat Khan and many others. Aditya teaches on the faculty of Harvard’s Sangeet Music School and has worked with the Rolling Stones and saxophonist Tim Reis.

Antonio Sanchez - drums - Three time Grammy Award winner Sanchez, born in Mexico City, is considered by many writers, musicians and an increasing number of followers as one of the most prominent, versatile and sought after drummers of his generation.

Antonio has been the only drummer to hold both the chair for the Pat Metheny Group and the Pat Metheny Trio with Christian McBride. Other notable ensambles include: Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden, Gary Burton and Toots Thielmans. And regularly collaborates with some of the most prominent names of the newer generation: Joshua Redman, Chris Potter, Dee Dee Bridgewater, John Patitucci, Dianne Reeves, Avishai Cohen and Paquito D'Rivera to name a few. His albums have received rave reviews from jazz publications around the world.


Donny McCaslinDonny McCaslin - sax - After attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, McCaslin toured with Gary Burton’s quintet, for four years, moved to New York worked with bassist Eddie Gomez then joined the group Steps Ahead and received a Grammy nomination for “Best Jazz Instrumental Solo”. To quote Jazz Times:"McCaslin’s a versatile player who moves easily between inside and outside musical zones… There’s a fluidity and grace to his playing even when he’s pushing at envelopes.”


Scott ColleyScott Colley - bass - Forceful lines, impeccable articulation, assured sense of swing and sensitive support have made Scott Colley the bassist of choice for such legends as Herbie Hancock and Jim Hall. Colley's remarkably empathetic skills, strong melodic penchant and improvisational daring have served him well in groups led by colleagues Chris Potter, Adam Rogers and Brian Blade. But it is as a composer and bandleader in his own right that Colley has flourished in recent years, as evidenced by a string of consistently impressive recordings.


Dave BinneyDave Binney - sax - Acclaimed as a considerable and highly individual compositional talent, saxophonist David Binney is one of the most prolific young jazz musicians on the scene today. Winning praise from critics and colleagues alike, David was recently singled out by Jazz Times as one of a handful of "young players who have created an alternative jazzscene... all of whom are playing adventurous, original music."
